La Placita Olvera! [a personal favourite]

The one thing I love about Los Angeles is located in downtown LA! Olvera street or "La Placita Olvera" is a historical street turned into a Mexican marketplace gem.  Having been to Mexico myself a few years back, the place definitely made me feel nostalgic, in a good way! The amazing food and culture was quick to draw me in so it didn't take long before I began to feel at home. Wonderful mariachi bands and children running about livened the place up. Though it was raining, it didn't stop people from being outside to enjoy the day.

I may not be able to go back to Mexico any time soon, but for now Olvera street shall satisfy my craving. :-)

  1. Ah that's fun. Winnipeg is so far away from Mexico - and right now, drastically colder. But there are two places in town, one pub and one restaurant, that make me feel like I'm back in Mexico.

I'd love to visit this street in LA.

I miss Mexico oh so much! But there's nothing around here in Alicante to bring it to mind...
