Things to invest in for the (amateur) outdoor junkie

My Current Investments

MEC Ibex 65 Backpack

:$159.00 CAD

{via}

Justified: Even though I've only used this pack once since I bought it; I bought this one because it's versatile. I could take it through backpacking in Europe as well as the hard camping sort of backpacking.

Evolv Elektra VTR Rock Shoes.

: $92.00 CAD

{via}

Justified: I've been climbing lots.

Devinci Oslo 2009

: $799.99 CAD

Justified: With the gas prices these days, you really could just be working to pay for your car. This bike could easily be one of the best investments I've made this year. If I take good care of it, it'll pay for itself. Because the Oslo is a hybrid, I can use this for commute and also ride it on light and tame terrain.

My future investment

2011 Dynastar Women's exclusive Idyll w/ NX 11 Fluid Bindings

: $349.9 CAD

{via}

Justified: When Ski season hits, it means a temporary end to my climbing. So, what better time to develop a new skill? I was very very close to buying a gym membership pass but decided that $700 is better spent on ski gear. Come on, you've got my back on this one don't cha? :-D

  11. Ski gear is definitely better than a gym membership, no doubt about it! ;o)

    Now the question is (since I'm reading this 18 months after you posted): have you used any of this stuff? THAT's how you know if it was worth it! :p
