Squamish, B.C.

I am not a fan of slab for various reasons; namely because I don't trust my feet on dime-sized footholds, especially knowing that falling would mean scraping my knees, hard.

This is how I climb my 5.11s!

  1. I've got chill bumps just looking at you! I never understood how chicks do this! My arms are as feeble as tooth picks, and definitely can't support my full weight. You go girl!

  4. I have always wanted to go rock-climbing. Not the "fun", man-made stuff you can do at certain indoor locations, but the REAL stuff...like YOU do! I admire those who take it seriously, the discipline involved and the amazing strength gained from the sport. I think it's awesome that you do this!!!

  5. That looks INSANE! And yet so much fun!

I did a year (or two? not sure!) of rock climbing in high school, but only a few outings in a natural setting I believe. Wasn't able to keep it up when I went to college so it's been YEARS! I'd love to start up again... but I've gained so much wait I have trouble imagining pulling myself up the rocks! So for now I'll stick with hiking and scuba diving... :p
