Take that away and they're just empty shells!

The scene you describe sounds like something out of a horror film! :pCrazyCrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17512240982215608638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7685114219265245626.post-27947487702495523462011-05-17T17:18:23.038-07:002011-05-17T17:18:23.038-07:00This was such a good post. I mean, there would be no line at Starbucks or anywhere else for that matter :) Imagine having NYC all to yourself? No one to tell you not to touch the paintings at the Met? Heck, you could LIVE at the Met! Awesome!!!Kimberleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13993904616185706338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7685114219265245626.post-83036515371264998692011-05-10T15:05:45.581-07:002011-05-10T15:05:45.581-07:00There's an interesting duality here. Having strange people in your place of solitude is agitating, but just as agitating is the empty communal space. I recall standing in a church during an overnight vigil and feeling a vast emptiness, part of which was the natural ennui of adolescence, but I would contend that much more was related to the feeling of unused communal spaces. Interesting thought.Starkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07149958069498306665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7685114219265245626.post-85775473981797318822011-05-10T03:42:16.130-07:002011-05-10T03:42:16.130-07:00i would love living away from the city and all the...i would love living away from the city and all the people.
